Plastic Animals are a four-piece band based in Edinburgh. They formed in 2006 and, between long periods of hibernation, created three minute punk messes.

In 2011 they returned with a fuller, more ambient sound on their "A Dark Spring" EP, which was supported by a string of gigs in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Belfast.

Second guitarist Ben Slade joined the band in 2012 and the first fruits of this new union will be heard on the new "Automaton" EP, due for release in June.
