Jennifer Haase (rhymes with "classy") is a Nebraska-born, New
York-transplanted singer/songwriter with a Jewel-Meets-Mary Chapin Carpenter
folk-pop sound.
NO MORE INVITATIONS, Haase's sophomore album release, is produced by
multi-instrumentalist Mike Leslie (Joan Osborne, Rufus Wainwright), engineered/mixed
& mastered by Emmy-nominated Robert L. Smith (GLEE, Ricki Lee Jones, Harry
Connick, Jr.) and features special guest vocals from Rosanne Cash (on
"Oneonta") and Stephen Kellogg (on "3,000 Miles").
A five year DIY journey from start to finish, a handful of the songs from NO MORE
INVITATIONS wrote themselves along the way. A combo of sassy and sentimental,
full and bare production, NO MORE INVITATIONS has a little bit of love ("As the
Record Spins"), rejection ("No More Invitations"), lust ("Beautiful Man") and
fashion-minded playfulness ("New Pink Sweater").
NO MORE INVITATIONS was funded in part with generous donations from fans, which made working with an amazing NYC musical team possible. Record producer Mike Leslie
said of Haase's album fundraiser success "You are truly a force, missy."
Haase has played legendary clubs The Bitter End in NYC, The Troubadour in London and has been invited to play Nashville's The Bluebird Café in November
2011.
"Jennifer Haase is a unique and gifted songwriter with the voice of an angel. I highly recommend her." - Rosanne Cash (www.rosannecash.com)
"This album is somewhere between Julie Miller and Aimee Mann..." - NoDepression.com about album NO MORE INVITATIONS
"The first time I heard Jennifer Haase sing, I got chills. She has an aching sincerity that you just cannot manufacture or cultivate. I think it stems from how deeply she throws herself into her songs and as a listener you are forced to feel it all with her and that of course is the good stuff." --Stephen Kellogg (www.stephenkellogg.com)
"Jennifer is someone you could listen to for hours and beg for more when she's done. Highly Recommended." --Songwriter's Monthly Magazine
