Boston band In Like Lions will release their second album, Through Red & Blue, on February 14, 2012. A conceptual travel along the arc of love, Through Red & Blue was recorded in a century-old Masonic temple, 1867 Recording Studios in Chelsea MA, by LA producer Jim Dineen (Saint Motel, Adam Jones, Whiskey Saints) and engineer/owner Chris McLaughlin (Mean Creek, The New Pornographers, You can Be a Wesley, Township.) In Like Lions is a true example of combined influences from Pearl Jam to The Black Keys, and Radiohead to Otis Redding. Loud and steadfast drums and bass, blanketed by shoe gaze reverberant riffs, topped with rich soulful vocals. What sets them apart from other bands is that they don't chain themselves down trying to create music under a certain genre. As they evolve as musicians, so does the music. The evolution of In Like Lions can really be heard at each electrifying live performance. In only two years, In Like Lions has made their mark on the Boston music scene. In 2012, with the help of Boston based indie label Fort Point Recordings (Viva Viva, Endless Wave, Mister Jason), In Like Lions will be showcasing their talent at the famed South by Southwest Music Festival (SXSW) in Austin Texas this March. In addition, a Through Red & Blue tour is being assembled with confirmed dates in: They have just been nominated for "Band of the Month" on delimag.com for the Boston New England region. In Like Lions’ music can be found through all major digital distributions sites including iTunes, Amazon, Pandora, and Spotify. In addition to having Fort Point Recordings’ distributing power behind them, In Like Lions has also gained the attention of best-selling author Jessica Park. Their music has been chosen for exclusive use on the enhanced-edition app of Park’s highly acclaimed book, “Flat-Out Love,” which will be available on iPhone and iPad this Summer.
