High Voltage is a young rock n’ roll band from the great city of Missoula. Like their name implies, they have an electric combination of soaring vocals (Amanda Champion), raunchy guitar (Josh Rhines), rumbling bass (Nick Hawthorne), spacey synth (Garret Seesing), soothing saxophone (Adam Goodover) and thunderous drums (Collin Scott). Combining elements of classic rock, blues, alternative, funk and metal, the band hopes to offer something fresh and interesting.
Currently, High Voltage is writing and rehearsing the songs on their debut album “Mind, Body & Soul”, due to be recorded and released the first half of 2011. Along with writing their album, they are playing out as much as possible, trying to gain new fans and establish themselves in the Missoula and Montana music scene. They have played notable events, such as the 4th of July in Seeley Lake, playing in the Osprey Stadium, and headlining Friday and Saturday night of the 2010 Testicle Festival. “Supernova”, one of High Voltage’s original tunes, was chosen to be on the Rock Band (Wii, Ps3, Xbox 360) platform early next year. Another song of theirs, “Tell Me”, was chosen to compete in the Heineken Ultimate Playlist competition, and became the top featured song.
High Voltage is here to rock, and High Voltage is here to stay. Rock on
