In December 1999 Christopher signed on exclusively with Moonshine Music to create a series of DJ mixed albums. "Christopher is leading the trance crusade in America. Christopher had previously released two DJ mixed albums. In 1997, his mixed CD Rise on Fragrant Music immediately sold out and received excellent reviews worldwide. Released in 1999, Christopher's long awaited second mixed CD Temptation smashed all City of Angels sales records in the first month.
Christopher headlines regularly to dedicated fans throughout the United States and Canada as well as international tours of Great Britain, Europe, Mexico and Australia, Christopher also appeared on the 'Hook Recordings' 1997 North American and 1998 European tours, as well as the 1999 Destiny World Electronic Music Festival Tour.
Christopher's talents extend beyond the turntables and into the studio. A recognized pioneer of the early trance scene, Christopher became the first US artist to be signed to Scotland's influential Hook Recordings in 1996. With a discography of groundbreaking tracks including "Navigator", "Interceptor" and 'Renegade' to his credit, Christopher has taken the US and European charts by storm as well as earning numerous rave reviews, including his massive track "Shredder" being named Muzik magazines "Vital Release" of the month. In 1999, the Egil/Priority compilation "Christopher Lawrence Presents Hook Recordings" again brought the sound of one of the world's greatest trance labels to fans across the world. Released in January 2000, his single "Rush Hour" has Hook predicting this to be his biggest tune to date, which falls right on the heels of Christopher flying to the UK to headline at London's celebrated Ministry of Sound. Christopher's latest single "Cruise Control" is quickly finding itself in the collections of DJs around the world and is featured on his second Moonshine Music release United States of Trance, available January, 2001.
Christopher's enormous success continues to be reflected in excellent press from global dance magazines. Featured on the cover of US publications from XLR8R to BPM to Mixer, and named as one of URB's elite 1999 "Next 100", his talent has also been praised by D'Vox, Raygun, Thousand Words, Resonance and Klublife to name a few more. Christopher's skills and reputation have also generated fierce support from the international publications including Muzik, 7, Wax, DJ and MixMag.
The year 2000 has seen Christopher's popularity skyrocket and his talents are being recognized, as is evident in several recent accolades; the inaugural LA's Best Mix DJ award, presented to him during the Los Angeles Music Awards; and as the highest ranking American Trance DJ on the highly coveted Top 100 DJs list complied annually by the UK publication DJ Magazine – a list that generally dismisses the American DJ all together. With rotating residencies at LA's legendary Giant, Boulder's Soma and Tokyo's Mothership, Christopher was the only American DJ invited to headline both Ministry of Sound and Gatecrasher's inaugural US tours. Described as "America's Best Trance DJ" by Thousand Words and a "Superstar DJ" by influential Mixer magazine, Christopher has become one of the most prolific and popular American DJs as he headlines at the world's top clubs and events throughout Great Britain, Europe, Japan, Mexico, Canada, South America, Peru and Australia.
