Champagne Champagne is a hip-hop trio formed by Pearl Dragon, who raps along side Thomas Gray, with Mark Gajadhar (drummer/founder of former Seattle band, The Blood Brothers) as DJ Gajamagic and all-in-one back up band, even playing a melodica (cross between a keyboard and harmonica) on stage. The band released the EP "Private Party" in March 2012 but this is not their first release. They formed back in 2007 in Seattle,WA and released a self-titled album in 2009 on their own, with no major label backing. In 2011, they supported STRFKR on the Reptilians tour and actually released an EP on PolyVinyl Records to commemorate their time together. 'Pagne's rhymes and raps have a hip-hop sound but they put on a show with a punk rock attitude so they jumped on the Van's Warped Tour line up this year. They are one of the many bands playing the House of Marley stage and being called the best hip hop artist at Warped Tour this year! They mix the best parts of hip hop, indie, and punk rock to bring you a sound that's described as "tropical trip pop" or "a koala crapped a rainbow in my brain" on their Facebook.. you can decide which is more accurate.
