Bowery Beasts, hailing from the sun-drizzled streets of Los Angeles, are a rock n roll group whose underground EP, "Venice Peach," caught the ear of 90's cult legend Ken Andrews of Failure, who produced two forthcoming records. After a 45" release on their own label, and a slew of local fests and one-offs including openers for Tame Impala and J Roddy Walston & the Business, their latest creation "Heavy You" is set to come out worldwide July 5, 2011. While they count themselves as soul children of the sweet n deadly strut of Thin Lizzy, Slade, and Mott the Hoople, their sound is self-described as "Blue Jean Glam," taking as much from the heavy madness of Jane's Addiction as from Joni Mitchell, Tim Buckley, and S.E. Hinton.
