Ashira is a person who happens to write mostly poetry in either Hebrew or English and then memorize and perform it for gratefully blown-away audiences from Jerusalem, Israel to Austin, Texas and any number of spaces and places in-between including the greater Washington D.C. area where she currently resides and has most of her life, avoiding government politics while overwhelmedly aware of them and incorporating the world’s goings-on in prosaic poems, spiritually-awakened paintings, and the other necessary simplicities of life which vary according to the season to include gardening, cooking, raw-foods preparation, consuming wild edibles, stretching the body and mind to the far reaches of fingertips, toes, and the edges of all the known and unknown multi-verses in which we are all constantly engaged and of which we are all part. Ashira is ‘very metaphysical,’ understanding that Physics is what always makes art.
