with an eclectic fusion of rock and spoken soul, (i am) isis has positioned herself to thrive within the music and entertainment industries. 

a multi-faceted visionary, the Newark-born, Minneapolis-raised phenomenon has created for herself a montage of eclectic rhymes, emotional rants, socio-political soliloquies and stories of love and growth and inspiration. (i am) isis has been described as haunting and mesmerizing, with her live shows being characterized as an energetic explosion of power and grace.

that mission has allowed her to grace the stages of premiere venues and events across the country, such as the Knitting Factory and Santos Party House (New York), the historic First Avenue (Minneapolis), and the Watts Festival (Los Angeles). she has also been featured as Soul Train’s artist of the month, following her debut video “Drive Me” on Comcast On-Demand.

(i am) isis has opened up for a wide range of artists and speakers, including jessica Care moore, Wyclef Jean, Dr. Cornel West, Ursula Rucker, Firewater and India.Arie. as a performance artist, (i am) isis has also performed at numerous venues, including the MN Historic State Theatre alongside such luminaries as Tracy Ellis Ross, Claudia Jordan and Vivica Fox.

now residing in Brooklyn, (i am) isis is backed by musicians Mike Koltosky (bass), Manny Mavrakis (drums), Dave Elmowitz (guitar) and Isaac Childs (keys). 

(i am) isis is currently putting the final touches on her highly anticipated debut project, due summer 2012.
